Lithium cobalt oxide is used for the cathode active material found in energy-dense lithium-ion batteries. At Santoku, we manufacture cobalt oxide materials in-house and carry out product design to better meet our customers’ needs. In our cobalt oxide manufacturing techniques, we utilize the crystal structure control technology accumulated over many years of working with rare earth elements and salts and are able to carry out the design and development of high performance lithium cobalt oxide cathode materials from their precursors.
