What led you to join the company?
When I began looking for a job, rare earths were frequently being covered in the papers.
Up until then, I had never even heard the word "rare earths", but after seeing it written in articles or on the news, I remember getting the impression that they were essential to various industries.
As I was interested in the production of goods, I concentrated on manufacturers when looking for a job.
Among these, out of a feeling of wanting to see the workings of the world from near its source, I particularly looked at raw material manufacturers.
From here, I saw our company was recruiting employees and thought that if I went to a manufacturer that dealt with the rare earths used for all types of applications, I would be able to take part in various industries, This grabbed my interest.
What are your current duties?
Being a part of sales, I handle the selling of alloys for magnets and rare earth metals. While dealing with existing clients makes up the majority of my work, I also handle new projects and carry out market research along with other activities.
What makes your job worthwhile?
As the application of rare earths covers quite a large range of fields, we often receive new inquiries. When responding to these, there are lots of as of yet undiscovered worlds we come across. When I recognize the numerous possibilities hidden inside rare earths, that is when working at this company feels worthwhile.
